Super Cheer & Stunt Clinic Tryouts
Grade: Entering 5-9
Join us for a clinic focusing on jumps, cheers and basic stunting with the Glen Ellyn Rockers All Stars. Want to work toward more advanced stunts? It is HIGHLY recommended that all aspiring Rockers come to the Stunt Clinic to work with the current Rockers team and coaches. Learn the newest exciting stunts and receive instruction and feedback from Glen Ellyn Rockers cheer coaches. Girls should wear shorts, tennis shoes and bring a water bottle. Get ready to have fun!

The Glen Ellyn Rockers All Stars is a travel, competitive cheerleading squad of elite athletes. Competing in the Junior Division, the team performs at approximately five regional and 2-3 national competitions September through March. Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays, August 1 through March with camps in the summer. Condition practices and fundraising camps run throughout the summer. We normally march in the July 4th parade and perform exhibitions at local high school football and basketball games. Cost is approximately $2,000 including uniform and fundraising obligation. A payment plan is available. Clinics, tryouts and practices are required.
Clinic 1: Friday April 15 4pm-8pm SARC
Clinic 2: Saturday April 16 1pm-5pm SARC
Tryouts: Sunday April 17 9am-Noon SARC
Everyone, regardless of prior Rocker or cheerleading experience, must tryout every year.

Try-outs are typically held in April or May of every year for the upcoming season. Prior to clinics and try-outs, returning Rockers put on a stunting clinic for aspiring Rockers to learn stunting techniques and prepare for try-outs.
Everyone, regardless of prior Rocker or cheerleading experience, must try-out every year.
Try-out judging criteria is below. The point totals shown is the maximum amount that can be earned in each category:
Showmanship
(10 points)
Facials, Eye contact, Appearance, Crowd appeal
Attitude
(10 points)
Observed during clinics and try-outs
Jumps & Heel Stretches
(averaged together to total 10 points)
Toe Touch, Hurdler, Pike and Double Toe Touch
Right & Left Heel Stretches
Dance
(difficulty 5 points, technique 5 points)
Motions, Timing, Charisma, Cleanness, Enthusiasm
Standing Tumbling
(difficulty 5 points, technique 5 points)
Everyone must show a minimum standing flip-flop and may use a spot if needed
Running Tumbling
(difficulty 5 points, technique 5 points)
Everyone must show a minimum round-off
Required Stunt
(difficulty 5 points, technique 5 points)
Everyone must show a straight-up extension with cradle.
Optional Stunt
(difficulty 5 points, technique 5 points)
Everyone must show an optional stunt of their choosing, including a one legged stunt.
